Today, I would like to talk about our ordering process for suits. Like I said, visiting a tailor shop could be a little intimidating for the first time. However, if you know what to expect, you might feel less intimidated to visit us.
Tell us what you would like to make; 2p suits, 3p suits, only a vest, only a pair of trousers etc...
Choose a fabric
Get measured up!
Try on sizing samples to determine the right size to work with; here, you can see and feel how the garment will come out
Slight adjustment; sleeve length, jacket length, take-in or let-out, square or slope shoulders etc... Just to remind you that we are not altering the garment, we are altering the pattern to make your suit from
Once you are happy with your overall fit, we will talk about the details
Single breasted, 2B or 3B, double breasted etc...
Full canvas, half canvas or not at all? No shoulder pads?
Slant pockets, a ticket pocket added?
Then you get to choose the lining; Full lining, half lining or even less?
You get to choose the buttons
Would you like a monogram?
That's pretty much it!
