Ordering process for suits

Today, I would like to talk about our ordering process for suits. Like I said, visiting a tailor shop could be a little intimidating for the first time. However, if you know what to expect, you might feel less intimidated to visit us.

  • Tell us what you would like to make; 2p suits, 3p suits, only a vest, only a pair of trousers etc...

  • Choose a fabric

  • Get measured up!

  • Try on sizing samples to determine the right size to work with; here, you can see and feel how the garment will come out

  • Slight adjustment; sleeve length, jacket length, take-in or let-out, square or slope shoulders etc... Just to remind you that we are not altering the garment, we are altering the pattern to make your suit from

  • Once you are happy with your overall fit, we will talk about the details

  • Single breasted, 2B or 3B, double breasted etc...

  • Full canvas, half canvas or not at all? No shoulder pads?

  • Slant pockets, a ticket pocket added?

  • Then you get to choose the lining; Full lining, half lining or even less?

  • You get to choose the buttons

  • Would you like a monogram?

  • 3 inside pockets on the left, 1 inside pocket on the right

  • Horn buttons

  • 100% Cupro (Bemberg) lining from Asahi Kasei

  • Working button holes

  • Interlining by Bertero (Italy)
